Aurora, Illinois — The City of Aurora shared yesterday that the Liberty Street railroad crossing would be closed starting today, July 21. The City expects the closure to last approximately one month.

The CN Railroad will be doing work on the track and railroad crossing signals. Posted detours will be available for drivers but delays should be expected if drivers do not take alternate routes.

The closure follows the completion of railroad bridge repairs that were made on McCoy Drive until June 29. A single lane on McCoy Drive is now open to drivers with those repairs done. Another total closure will begin July 29 to August 11.
