Aurora, Ill. — The City of Aurora’s Video Production Division has earned five Telly Awards this year, the city shared on Facebook yesterday.

The Telly Awards is an annual recognition process that honors video and television across all screens. Branded content, commercials, shows, social videos, and films and shorts are some of the categories accepted. The awards have honored some of the most respected advertising agencies, television stations, production companies and publishers in the world, the city said. This year’s awards were chosen by judges from Roku Brand Studio, Netflix, Gymnasium and PlutoTV. To enter, interested parties submit a link to their video work. The next season of awards will open on October 21.

In season 46 of the Telly Awards, this last round, the City of Aurora earned one Silver and four Bronze awards. The Silver recognition came in the Campaign-Promotional category. The video team earned Bronze in General-Restaurants (including fast food), General-Food & Beverage, General-Public Service & PSA and General-Sports/Sporting Goods/Games. The videos that won the awards can be found on the awards website.
