Aurora Driver Gets 9 Years for Endangering Deputies in Kane County

St. Charles, IL – Pedro A. Vilchis was sentenced to 9 years in prison for leading a high-speed chase and driving head-on at deputies, Kane County State’s Attorney Jamie L. Mosser announced. Vilchis, found guilty of attempted murder, will serve at least 85% of his sentence.

According to Mosser, Vilchis was convicted on June 3 after a bench trial for crimes including attempted murder and multiple felonies related to damage and assault. On August 12, 2022, Vilchis fled a traffic stop, reaching speeds over 100 mph and driving into oncoming traffic, endangering deputies.
