Auburn, ME – Three individuals were arrested Wednesday after Maine Drug Enforcement Agency (MDEA) agents and Auburn Police uncovered a large narcotics operation tied to multi-state drug trafficking, authorities said.

According to Commander Kevin Cashman of the MDEA, the arrests stemmed from a monthslong investigation into a suspected trafficking network operating across southern Maine and parts of Massachusetts. Agents executed a search warrant December 3 at a residence on Hampshire Street in Auburn.

Arrested were Brianna Remy, 26, of Auburn, Aidi Charles, 31, of Brockton, Massachusetts, and William Tardif, 57, of New Gloucester. Each faces aggravated trafficking in scheduled “W” drugs.

Inside the residence, agents seized approximately 334 grams of cocaine, 50 grams of fentanyl, 53 grams of methamphetamine, and other evidence consistent with distribution, according to the MDEA. Authorities estimate the street value of the seized drugs at more than $75,000.

Remy was detained after attempting to flee the scene, while Charles and Tardif were taken into custody without incident. Police also located a loaded firearm inside the home.

All three suspects were transported to the Androscoggin County Jail, where bail for Remy and Tardif was set at $10,000 each.

The MDEA credited assistance from Auburn Police, Lewiston PD, Lisbon PD, and the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office.
