Mount Holly, New Jersey – Light snow is possible tonight across parts of southern New Jersey and the Delmarva region, with minor accumulations expected along several coastal and inland roadways.
According to the National Weather Service office in Philadelphia/Mount Holly, temperatures Tuesday remain at or slightly above freezing for most locations outside the Poconos, limiting snowfall impacts during the day. However, colder conditions tonight may allow light snow to develop, primarily south of Interstate 195 and along the Garden State Parkway, Route 9, and US-13.
Forecast snowfall totals generally range from a dusting to around 1 inch, with localized amounts up to 2 inches possible near Cape May, Bethany Beach, and coastal portions of southern New Jersey and Delaware. Areas farther north, including Trenton, Flemington, and Morristown, are expected to see little to no accumulation.
Snowfall timing is expected mainly during the evening and overnight hours, which could create slick spots on untreated roads, bridges, and overpasses. Motorists traveling along the Garden State Parkway, Route 47, Route 37, and nearby secondary roads should use caution, particularly during late-night and early-morning hours.
High temperatures Tuesday range from the upper 20s to mid-30s, with coastal areas slightly milder than inland locations. Overnight lows are expected to dip near or below freezing, allowing any snowfall to stick briefly on colder surfaces before conditions improve.
No significant winter storm impacts are anticipated, and snowfall is expected to remain light and scattered. Conditions improve by Wednesday as precipitation ends and skies gradually clear.
This system may be most noticeable for overnight commuters, early-morning drivers, and coastal travelers, especially near beach communities and low-lying roadways where light accumulation is most likely.
