Caribou, ME – Northern Maine will see cool and partly cloudy conditions Friday before a cloudy, unsettled weekend sets in, according to the US National Weather Service Caribou, ME. Highs today are expected to reach the low-50s in the north and near 60°F along the coast, with light winds and mostly dry conditions. River valley fog may form overnight.

Forecasters say an upper-level trough will stay over the region through the weekend, keeping skies cloudy and temperatures gradually falling. By Sunday, highs will dip into the upper 40s in the north and low-50s along the coast. A few weak showers could develop, mainly across northern and coastal areas, though rainfall is expected to remain light.

The next meaningful chance of rain arrives midweek as a more organized low-pressure system approaches from the west, bringing wetter and windier conditions to the state.

Residents can expect a classic fall weekend of cool breezes, patchy fog, and overcast skies — with a bigger weather shift on the horizon next week.
