Arlington, Texas – Residents in Arlington may wake up to wet roads Saturday morning as showers and possible thunderstorms push through the area before clearing by late morning. The National Weather Service reports a 60 percent chance of rain, mainly before 10 a.m., with brief heavy downpours possible.

According to the agency, Saturday’s high will reach near 78 degrees under mostly cloudy skies, with north winds at 5 to 10 mph. Rainfall amounts are expected to be light overall, though localized heavier bursts could occur in thunderstorms.

Conditions turn drier and warmer Sunday, with partly sunny skies and a high near 82. By Monday, the region shifts into a hot and sunny stretch, with temperatures steadily climbing. Highs will reach 85 Monday, 89 Tuesday, and into the low 90s by midweek, marking a return to typical late-summer heat in North Texas.

Drivers should use caution during Saturday morning’s commute as wet pavement and reduced visibility may slow travel. Outdoor plans should be flexible until skies clear later in the day.

The National Weather Service says sunshine and highs in the low 90s will dominate through Friday, with little chance of rain after Saturday.
