Arlington Heights Illinois: Police Charge Two in Alleged Defacement of Republican Headquarters

Arlington Heights, Ill. – Two suspects have been arrested in connection with an alleged vandalism at a township building in Arlington Heights, police said Tuesday.

According to the Arlington Heights Police Department, detectives identified 72-year-old Brock McNerney and 69-year-old Moisette McNerney as the individuals allegedly responsible for defacing the Republican headquarters inside the Wheeling Township building located in the 1200 block of East Clarendon Avenue.

Police said the suspects were taken into custody on March 23 without incident. Both were charged with two misdemeanor offenses, including criminal damage to property and criminal defacement of property, before being released pending their initial court appearance.

Investigators credited tips and cooperation from the public in helping identify those involved. No additional suspects are being sought at this time.

The case remains under review as it moves through the court process, and authorities say further updates could be released as proceedings continue.
