Marianna, AR – A Marianna woman was sentenced to 40 years in prison Thursday after pleading guilty to charges stemming from the 2022 death of her 5-year-old son, whose body was discovered beneath the floorboards of their home.
Ashley Rolland, 30, pleaded guilty in Lee County Circuit Court to two counts of Permitting Abuse of a Minor. According to authorities, Rolland’s son, Blu Rolland, was found dead on December 16, 2022, in the Moro community, the same day he would have turned six. Investigators also revealed that her 6-year-old daughter had sustained injuries while living in the home.
Nathan Bridges, 34, who was arrested alongside Rolland, pleaded guilty last month to First-Degree Murder and First-Degree Battery. He was sentenced to 60 years in the Arkansas Department of Corrections.
