Little Rock, AR – Arkansas will finally thaw out after a frigid week as a warming trend brings milder temperatures heading into the weekend. However, rain chances increase by Sunday.
According to the National Weather Service, temperatures will rise from a high of 27°F on Thursday to the mid-40s by Saturday. Overnight lows will remain cold, dipping into the teens and 20s. By Sunday, highs will reach the low 50s, with increasing clouds and a chance of rain moving in by evening.
Friday will see partly sunny skies and a high near 31°F, with wind chills as low as 9°F. Saturday remains dry, but a southerly wind shift could bring warmer air, allowing highs to reach 43°F. By Sunday, a chance of scattered showers will develop, with highs near 52°F.
Travelers should remain cautious of slick roads early Friday morning due to lingering ice from recent cold weather. Those planning outdoor activities should prepare for a wet end to the weekend.
