Little Rock, AR – Residents across Arkansas can look forward to a warming trend starting Thursday, with highs reaching the low 50s in central areas, while northern regions begin to thaw after recent snowfall. Meteorologists expect snowpack to melt further, improving road conditions statewide.

According to the National Weather Service, Thursday will be sunny with a high of 53 degrees in Little Rock and 47 degrees in Fayetteville. Drivers are urged to remain cautious as snowmelt could refreeze overnight, particularly in shaded areas and near bridges. Overnight lows are expected to dip to the low 30s, creating potential black ice hazards.

Looking ahead, Friday will bring highs near 55 degrees, with mostly sunny skies in the morning, followed by a 30% chance of showers by the afternoon. Saturday will stay mild and partly sunny, with a high near 49 degrees. Nighttime lows through the weekend will range from 24 to 42 degrees, reinforcing the need for vigilance when traveling during early mornings or after dark.

With calmer winds and clear skies expected most days, now is an excellent time to clear outdoor areas impacted by ice or snow. Residents should also monitor forecasts for possible rain showers on Friday evening.
