Little Rock, AR – After a cooler Sunday compared to Saturday’s warmth, light rain chances are set to return to parts of Arkansas on Monday, mainly affecting the eastern half of the state.

According to the National Weather Service in Little Rock, Sunday afternoon highs will range from the upper 40s to upper 50s statewide, with cooler readings across northern and central Arkansas. Overnight lows tonight into Monday morning are expected to fall into the low 30s to mid-40s, depending on location.

Forecasters say a warm front will lift back north on Monday, allowing moisture to increase and bringing light rain chances, particularly across eastern Arkansas, including areas near Jonesboro, Brinkley, West Memphis, and Pine Bluff. Rainfall amounts are expected to remain light, with no widespread flooding or severe weather concerns at this time.

Central and western Arkansas should see little to no rainfall, while eastern counties could experience intermittent showers, mainly during the day Monday. Temperatures will rebound slightly behind the warm front, helping prevent wintry precipitation.

High temperatures Sunday afternoon include readings near 54 degrees in Little Rock, 52 in Harrison, 57 in Fayetteville, 56 in Russellville, and 58 in Monticello. Monday will bring a modest warm-up, especially where clouds and light rain develop.

Drivers should remain alert for brief wet road conditions in eastern Arkansas, though travel impacts are expected to be minimal.

Residents across Pulaski County, Craighead County, Phillips County, Mississippi County, and surrounding areas are encouraged to monitor updated forecasts as the week begins.
