Arkansas Weather Recap: September 2025 Warmer, Drier Than Normal

Little Rock, AR – Arkansas wrapped up September 2025 with warmer-than-average conditions and less rainfall than normal, according to the National Weather Service in Little Rock.

Across the state’s four major climate sites, temperatures trended above seasonal norms. In Little Rock, the average high reached 87°F, about 2 degrees warmer than normal, while Harrison recorded an average high of 84.4°F, roughly 3 degrees above average. North Little Rock and Pine Bluff also saw highs in the mid-80s to 90°F range.

According to the National Weather Service, the warmest days were logged at 95°F in Little Rock and Harrison, while the coldest dropped to 50°F in Harrison and 53°F in Pine Bluff.

Rainfall totals came in lighter than usual for most areas. Little Rock received 3.26 inches of rain, close to normal, but North Little Rock measured just 2.32 inches, more than 0.7 inches below average. Harrison recorded 3.67 inches, and Pine Bluff collected 2.83 inches, both short of seasonal averages. The wettest single day occurred on September 23–24, when Little Rock picked up 2.49 inches of rain.

No measurable snowfall was reported across Arkansas in September.

With October underway, forecasters note that cooler temperatures and the possibility of stronger fall cold fronts are expected in the coming weeks.
