Little Rock, AR – Arkansas is set to experience cooler-than-normal temperatures and a likelihood of rain throughout the week, according to the US National Weather Service in Little Rock.

According to the National Weather Service, temperatures across the state will remain below normal, ranging from the mid-80s to lower 90s. The highest temperatures will be observed in Fort Smith and Russellville, where highs are expected to reach 92°F. Other cities like Fayetteville, Harrison, and Mountain View will see temperatures in the mid to high 80s.

Rain chances are notable this week, particularly in the southeastern regions. Today, Little Rock has a 55% chance of rain with a high of 86°F and cloudy conditions. Rain is also likely on Thursday and Friday, with chances of 50% and 65% respectively, and temperatures around 86°F on Thursday and dropping to 80°F on Friday.

The weekend will see a slight reprieve from the rain, although scattered showers are still possible on Saturday, with a 45% chance and temperatures reaching 86°F. Sunday will be mostly clear with a high of 88°F, offering a brief respite before rain chances increase again.

Next Monday is expected to be partly sunny with temperatures climbing to 91°F. The cooler weather and intermittent rain are a welcome change for Arkansas residents, providing relief from the summer heat.
