Little Rock, AR – Morning calm greets central Arkansas this Sunday as a gentle northwest breeze moves across dew-dampened lawns and quiet streets. The day begins cool, but bright sun and dry air will take over quickly, marking the start of a mild, tranquil stretch for much of the state. According to the National Weather Service in Little Rock, temperatures will climb to around 69°F today with winds easing into the afternoon.

Monday and Tuesday continue the theme — warm sunshine, calm air, and crisp mornings perfect for outdoor work or early fall decorating. Highs will reach the mid- to upper-70s both days, with low humidity and clear skies. By Wednesday, a light south breeze will bring slightly warmer air and highs near 73°F.

However, forecasters are watching a developing system that could break the quiet pattern late Thursday into Friday. A 40 to 50 percent chance of showers and isolated thunderstorms enters the picture by Thursday night, especially across western and central Arkansas. Rainfall totals remain uncertain, but early models suggest pockets of heavier downpours before clearing next weekend.

By Saturday, cooler air may slip in behind the front, dropping highs to the upper 60s with lingering light showers. For now, the state enjoys near-perfect fall conditions — calm, dry, and comfortably warm — before clouds roll in to remind Arkansans that late-October weather can turn quickly.
