According to the National Weather Service, showers and thunderstorms are most likely between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. Tuesday, with a 60% chance of rain and heat index values pushing up to 99°F. Affected areas include Pulaski, Saline, and Faulkner counties, where brief but intense downpours could bring up to half an inch of rain. Roads across Little Rock, North Little Rock, and Benton could see ponding water during the evening commute.
