According to the National Weather Service in Little Rock, a Moderate Risk (Level 3 of 4) for excessive rainfall is in effect from Wednesday through Saturday, with up to 10 inches of rain possible in localized areas. Flash flooding remains a primary concern, especially in and around Little Rock, Conway, and Jonesboro.
The Storm Prediction Center outlines a significant severe weather threat on Wednesday, including the potential for baseball-sized hail—up to 2.75 inches in diameter—wind gusts over 80 mph, and isolated EF2 or stronger tornadoes. Much of the state falls within an enhanced risk zone for these hazards.
Residents are urged to prepare for potential travel disruptions, power outages, and flash flooding. Officials recommend securing loose outdoor objects and staying weather-aware, especially during overnight hours.
