Little Rock, AR – Severe storms are expected to impact Arkansas on Wednesday, March 12, and Friday, March 14, bringing a risk of large hail, damaging winds, and possible tornadoes.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Little Rock, storms developing Wednesday evening could produce hail up to the size of softballs and wind gusts exceeding 80 mph, primarily in western and southwestern Arkansas.
The storm system intensifies on Friday, placing much of the state under an Enhanced Risk (30% area) for severe thunderstorms. Areas from central to northeastern Arkansas, including Little Rock, Conway, and Jonesboro, face an increased threat of tornadoes and supercell storms transitioning into a squall line Friday night.
