Little Rock, AR – Dry and cooler weather has returned to Arkansas following the passage of a frontal system, bringing relief after days of rainfall. The National Weather Service in Little Rock reports that the western portion of the state received significant rainfall over the past 72 hours, with amounts exceeding 2.50 inches in many areas. Locations such as Birdtown and Long Pool saw the highest totals, with 4.56 inches and 4.34 inches of rain, respectively.

Despite the welcomed precipitation, eastern parts of the state missed out, remaining dry as cooler air moved in. With the front now clearing the region, Arkansas residents can expect a stretch of dry weather over the next week.

Tuesday’s forecast calls for pleasant daytime temperatures ranging from the lower 80s to the low 90s. Overnight, a significant drop in temperatures is expected, with lows dipping into the upper 50s to mid-60s, offering a cool respite.

The cooler weather is anticipated to persist throughout the week, providing a break from the recent heat. While the region enjoys this brief cooling trend, residents should prepare for drier conditions, as no significant rainfall is expected in the coming days. Enjoy the cooler weather while it lasts!
