ROGERS, Ark. – Arkansas State Police located a 16-year-old boy from Mississippi on Monday, safely recovering him from a Rogers residence after an alleged abduction. The boy had been reported missing from Brandon, Mississippi, the previous day.

Authorities identified Kaleb James Cannady, 33, as the suspect. Police arrested him at his home, where they reportedly found the teen unharmed. Cannady faces a Mississippi warrant for kidnapping and online enticement and is currently detained in the Benton County Detention Center.

Mississippi’s Rankin County Sheriff’s Department, alerted by online evidence, identified Cannady after the teen was allegedly lured through social media. The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation and the state’s Attorney General’s Office coordinated with Arkansas authorities to issue a BOLO (Be on the Lookout) alert for the teen on Monday.

Arkansas State Police, with assistance from Bella Vista Police, Bentonville Police, and Arkansas Highway Patrol, located and rescued the boy at 7:15 p.m. Monday. The arrest underscores the growing risks of online enticement, especially among teenagers.
