Shreveport, LA – Residents across the Four State Region will continue to see above-normal temperatures Friday, with daytime highs reaching into the upper 80s to near 90 degrees, according to the National Weather Service in Shreveport. Despite the summer-like afternoons, conditions are expected to cool off overnight with lows falling into the lower to middle 60s.

According to the NWS, a few isolated showers and storms may linger into early evening across portions of western Louisiana and extreme eastern Texas. Rain chances are low, with most areas experiencing only a 10 to 20 percent chance of brief showers before conditions turn dry.

By late tonight, forecasters expect skies to clear, leading to mild and calm conditions across the region. Areas including Shreveport, Texarkana, and Monroe will settle into the 60s overnight, providing some relief from the unseasonably warm afternoons.

The warmer-than-average trend is forecast to persist into the weekend. Residents planning outdoor activities should prepare for afternoon heat near 90 degrees, though evenings will remain comfortable. Forecasters caution that while rainfall chances diminish after tonight, the region will stay warmer than typical early October averages.
