Little Rock, Ark. – Over 50 Arkansas counties are under a Flood Watch until Monday evening as repeated rounds of rain raise the risk of dangerous flooding in both rural and urban areas.

According to the National Weather Service in Little Rock, the watch remains in effect through 7 p.m. Monday for much of central, north central, western, and southeastern Arkansas, including Little Rock, Fayetteville, Jonesboro, and Pine Bluff. Excessive runoff could flood rivers, streams, low-lying roads, and drainage systems—especially near already saturated ground.

In Conway, flash flooding could impact Highway 64 and low-lying neighborhoods near Lake Conway. The White River near Batesville and Black River near Pocahontas are also being closely monitored for rapid rises. Meanwhile, urban areas like North Little Rock and Hot Springs may experience backed-up storm drains during peak rainfall.

Drivers are urged to avoid flooded roadways and low-water crossings, especially overnight. If you encounter barricades or water over the road, turn around—don’t drown. Keep phones charged in case of emergency alerts or power outages.

More updates are expected if rainfall continues. Flood Warnings may be issued as conditions develop through the evening.
