The flooding is impacting the surrounding communities of Garland and Rocky Mound, including streams like Beech Creek, Maniece Bayou, and the Red River.
Residents in low-lying areas near the levee should move to higher ground immediately. Authorities are urging the public to avoid driving on flooded roads as they pose significant dangers. Flash flooding is an ongoing hazard in the area, and the National Weather Service is advising people to report any flooding to local emergency services.
