Arkansas Faces Dangerous Heat Wave with Triple-Digit Temperatures

Little Rock, AR – Arkansas is bracing for another scorching day as excessive heat warnings and advisories blanket the state. The National Weather Service in Little Rock has issued alerts, predicting a hot and steamy Tuesday with temperatures soaring into the 90s and heat indices reaching well into the triple digits.

According to the National Weather Service, the majority of the state will experience heat indices between 105 and 113 degrees, particularly in areas like Jonesboro, Mountain View, and Pine Bluff. Residents are urged to take heat safety precautions, such as staying hydrated, avoiding strenuous outdoor activities, and seeking air-conditioned environments.

Tuesday’s high temperatures are expected to hit 97 degrees in Little Rock, with even hotter conditions predicted in the following days. By Wednesday, temperatures could climb to 98 degrees, and by Thursday and Friday, the mercury is forecast to reach 99 degrees. The heatwave is expected to continue through the weekend, with slightly cooler but still dangerously high temperatures of 95 degrees on Saturday and 94 degrees on Sunday.
