Little Rock, Arkansas – Cold temperatures are expected to persist across Arkansas through much of the upcoming week, with rain chances returning by midweek, according to the National Weather Service in Little Rock.
In a social media update posted Sunday morning, the National Weather Service said below-normal temperatures will continue statewide before conditions begin to shift later in the week. Forecast graphics shared by the agency show overnight lows remaining cold through at least Tuesday, followed by a gradual warming trend during the latter half of the week.
Rain chances are expected to return beginning Wednesday, according to the forecast outlook. While no specific rainfall totals were provided, the National Weather Service noted that precipitation probabilities increase later in the week across much of the state.
The agency also highlighted guidance from the Climate Prediction Center, which indicates continued cold temperatures and above-normal rainfall for Arkansas during the 6–10 day outlook period. This suggests a pattern that could keep conditions unsettled even beyond the current seven-day forecast window.
The National Weather Service encouraged residents to stay informed of forecast updates as conditions evolve through the week, particularly as temperatures remain cold and rain chances increase.
