Shreveport, LA – A Freeze Warning remains in effect for portions of Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas, and southeast Oklahoma, including Shreveport, Texarkana, and Monroe, until 9 a.m. Wednesday. Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 10°F are expected overnight.
According to the National Weather Service, frost and freeze conditions could damage sensitive vegetation and unprotected outdoor plumbing. Residents across the Ark-La-Tex region should take immediate precautions to safeguard plants and insulate exposed pipes.
If going outdoors, dress warmly to prevent exposure to extreme cold. Keep pets indoors or provide adequate shelter with unfrozen water. For plumbing, allow faucets to drip or wrap exposed pipes to prevent freezing.
