Phoenix, AZ – Gusty winds are expected across parts of the eastern Phoenix metro and nearby mountain areas early Wednesday, with the National Weather Service in Phoenix maintaining a Wind Advisory from 5 a.m. to noon MST, Oct. 29, 2025.

Forecasters warn of east winds sustained at 20–25 mph with gusts reaching up to 45 mph, affecting areas including Fountain Hills, Apache Junction, Gold Canyon, the Mazatzal Mountains, and the Superstition Mountains.

The strongest winds are anticipated around sunrise through midmorning, before tapering off by early afternoon. The NWS advises that driving could be difficult, particularly for high-profile vehicles on roads with east–west exposure such as U.S. 60 and State Route 87.

Residents should secure outdoor items, including patio furniture and trash bins, as light objects may become airborne in gusty conditions.
