Storms continue Thursday night, especially before 11 p.m., before tapering off into a drier Friday. Friday will be partly sunny and warmer, with more storms developing between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. Those could bring another round of afternoon lightning and brief downpours, especially east of I-17. Winds will remain gusty, with highs near 82°F.
Looking ahead, the weekend turns mostly dry and warmer. Saturday and Sunday highs rise to the mid-80s, with just a 20% storm chance Saturday afternoon. By Monday, monsoon moisture returns with increased chances of storms through Tuesday, especially in the afternoons and evenings.
