Flagstaff, AZ – Residents of Flagstaff and surrounding areas should brace for monsoon showers and thunderstorms beginning at 8 PM tonight. The National Weather Service (NWS) in Flagstaff has issued a detailed monsoon daily outlook, highlighting potential storm threats and conditions.

According to the NWS, the storms are anticipated to bring lightning, small hail, and strong outflow gusts of 40-50 mph. Additionally, brief periods of heavy rainfall are expected, posing risks of localized flooding. The timing for these weather events is set from 11 AM to 8 PM MST, with storm motion projected to move west-northwest at speeds of 10-15 mph.

The forecast for the next few days shows a continuation of cloudy conditions with temperatures ranging from 83°F to 87°F during the day and dropping to around 60°F at night. On Friday, partial sunshine will break through the clouds with a high of 85°F, while Saturday and Sunday will see mostly cloudy skies with highs of 83°F and 82°F, respectively.
