According to the National Weather Service, southwest winds will pick up mid-morning, reaching 7 to 12 mph before increasing to 13 to 18 mph. Residents should prepare for stronger gusts during the day, particularly in open areas and higher elevations.
Temperatures will peak near 59°F on Tuesday, but the evening will bring a sharp cooldown to 28°F. The rest of the week remains mostly sunny, with daytime highs in the mid-50s and nighttime lows dropping into the 20s. Thursday and Friday could see gusts up to 31 mph.
Drivers on I-40 should stay alert for sudden wind gusts that could impact high-profile vehicles. Outdoor plans should be adjusted accordingly, especially in exposed areas.
