Flagstaff, AZ – A sunny but windy Thursday is ahead for Flagstaff before a shift to unsettled weekend weather, bringing rain and snow chances. Residents should prepare for gusty conditions on Thursday before showers arrive by Saturday.

According to the National Weather Service, Thursday will be sunny with a high near 50°F, but strong northeast winds of 17-20 mph could gust up to 31 mph. These winds may impact travel on Interstate 40, particularly for high-profile vehicles.

By Friday, winds will calm as temperatures rise to 59°F under mostly sunny skies. However, the weekend brings increasing moisture, with a 30% chance of rain showers on Saturday between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. By Saturday night, colder air moves in, leading to a 20% chance of snow showers before 11 p.m.

Sunday remains mostly sunny with a high near 55°F, but snow chances return by Monday, with a 50% likelihood of snow showers and gusty winds reaching 33 mph.

Drivers should stay alert for changing road conditions, especially on I-40 and Highway 89. Stay updated with the latest forecasts before traveling.
