Arizona wakes to a cool desert dawn as pale sunlight brushes the Catalina Mountains and traffic builds along I-10. Tucson sits at 57 degrees under clear skies, and the air feels crisp but calm.

That chill won’t last long.

Sunshine dominates today, and temperatures surge to 91 degrees by midafternoon. Light winds turn west at 5 to 10 mph. Hydrate early if you’re spending time outdoors. This is early March, but it will feel like early summer across southern Arizona.

Skies stay mostly clear tonight with lows near 54 degrees.

Tuesday remains sunny and warm, with highs around 86 degrees. Light winds pick up slightly in the afternoon, with occasional gusts near 20 mph. Tuesday night cools to 50 under clear skies.

Wednesday continues the spring warmth, topping out near 84 degrees with full sun. By Thursday, highs ease back to 79 degrees under sunny skies. Overnight lows dip into the mid-40s by late week, reminding us it’s still late winter on the calendar.

While parts of the central and eastern U.S. track rain, mixed precipitation, and even snow, southern Arizona remains dry and stable under high pressure.

We gain about 40 to 60 minutes of daylight this month across southern Arizona. Most of the country springs clocks ahead at 2 a.m. Sunday. Arizona does not observe the time change, but brighter evenings are noticeable nationwide.

Looking into the 6–10 day outlook, temperatures trend near to slightly above normal, reinforcing the warm and dry pattern.
