Flagstaff, Arizona – Thunderstorms could develop by late Monday morning across northern Arizona, bringing gusty winds and the first in a string of summer storm chances this week.

According to the National Weather Service, Flagstaff has a 20% chance of showers and thunderstorms after 11 a.m. on Monday, July 28th, with highs reaching 88°F and southwest winds gusting as high as 21 mph. While Monday’s storm potential remains slight, the chance increases significantly by Tuesday and continues through Thursday.

By Tuesday, thunderstorm chances rise to 30% after 11 a.m., with similar winds and slightly cooler temps around 87°F. Nighttime storms are also possible Tuesday and Wednesday, particularly between 5 p.m. and 11 p.m., raising concerns for evening travel.
