Flagstaff, AZ – Spring officially begins this Thursday, but winter isn’t ready to let go just yet. Snow showers and strong winds are set to impact Flagstaff on Tuesday, making for a blustery start to the week.

According to the National Weather Service, Flagstaff will see a 40% chance of snow showers on Tuesday, with breezy conditions throughout the day. Winds from the west will reach 20 to 23 mph, with gusts as high as 37 mph. While snowfall totals are expected to be minimal, slick roads and reduced visibility could impact travel, especially along I-40.

Tuesday night will bring clearing skies, but temperatures will drop to around 16°F. Winds will calm slightly but could still gust up to 23 mph.

Looking ahead, Wednesday will be sunny with a high near 48°F, offering a brief break from the cold. However, another round of breezy conditions returns Thursday, with gusts up to 30 mph. By Friday, temperatures will warm into the upper 50s, signaling a shift toward more spring-like conditions.

Residents should prepare for gusty winds and possible hazardous road conditions on Tuesday. Drivers are encouraged to check road conditions before heading out. Warmer weather is on the horizon, but Flagstaff’s spring will still bring winter-like surprises.
