Phoenix, Arizona – Temperatures in Phoenix are already climbing past 100°F this week, and the heat shows no signs of backing off through Memorial Day. Drivers and outdoor workers should prepare for intensifying sun exposure and rising dehydration risks, especially as Thursday’s high pushes to a sweltering 104°F.
According to the National Weather Service in Phoenix, highs will remain in the triple digits through at least Monday, with 102°F expected both Wednesday and Friday. Winds will stay light, but the dry air and clear skies will amplify the heat’s intensity, particularly in urban zones like downtown Phoenix and near I-10.
Thursday is expected to be the hottest day so far this month, with a peak of 104°F and minimal cloud coverage. Overnight lows will offer little relief, staying in the 70s throughout the stretch, which can compound the risk of heat-related illness. Hydration, shade, and reduced physical exertion during peak sun hours (2–6 p.m.) are strongly advised.
Looking ahead, the weekend will stay hot and mostly clear, with Saturday reaching 98°F and Sunday rebounding to 100°F. Memorial Day is forecast to hit 102°F with light winds and dry skies—ideal for travel but dangerous for prolonged outdoor activity without precautions.
No significant weather changes are expected in the next five days, and there are currently no active advisories, though residents should stay weather-aware as extreme heat could trigger alerts before the holiday.
