According to the National Weather Service in Phoenix, high pressure is building over the region through Thursday, pushing temperatures near 89°F and climbing to 93°F by Saturday afternoon. Afternoon winds, especially Friday through Sunday, could gust up to 25 mph, with the strongest winds expected south and west of downtown Phoenix.

Motorists should be alert for sudden visibility drops along major routes like I-10, I-17, and Loop 202, especially between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. when wind speeds peak. Outdoor workers and residents without adequate cooling should prepare for extended sun exposure. Drink water, avoid peak heat hours outdoors, and secure loose outdoor items that may blow away.

Thursday and Friday remain sunny with highs near 89°F and 92°F, respectively. Nights stay mild, with lows around 65°F. Winds become calm each evening before returning the following day.

Looking ahead, temperatures remain in the upper 80s to low 90s into early next week, with slightly calmer wind conditions by Monday.
