According to the National Weather Service in Flagstaff, winds will strengthen by late Monday morning, peaking at 20 mph with gusts exceeding 30 mph by mid-afternoon. A Red Flag Warning remains possible for Tuesday as winds persist and humidity drops across Coconino County.

Residents near forested areas, especially along I-17 and US-180, should avoid outdoor burning, delay yard work, and report any signs of smoke. Wind speeds are expected to ease slightly Tuesday night but may remain gusty enough to sustain fire risk into Wednesday.
