According to the National Weather Service in Flagstaff, southwest winds between 25 to 35 mph—with gusts up to 55 mph—will persist from 11 a.m. Monday through 7 p.m. Tuesday. Areas affected include Flagstaff, Winslow, Springerville, and the Mogollon Rim, with high-profile vehicles facing the most risk, especially along Highway 180.
Loose outdoor items should be secured immediately. Forecasters warn that tree limbs may snap, and scattered power outages are possible. Drivers of RVs, campers, and trailers should delay travel or use extreme caution.
Tuesday will bring partly sunny skies with wind speeds remaining strong throughout the day, tapering off by the evening. Snow showers are likely by Wednesday, with new accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible, mainly after 11 a.m. Winds will shift northwest at 17 to 16 mph with gusts reaching 26 mph.
