Phoenix, AZ – Arizona residents are in for another scorching weekend as above-normal temperatures persist well into next week. The National Weather Service in Phoenix has issued a forecast showing that temperatures in Phoenix will reach highs of 112°F on Friday, with a slight cooldown to 110°F on Saturday, but temperatures will climb back to 111°F by Sunday and up to 113°F by Monday.
Yuma and Imperial are also bracing for extreme heat, with temperatures expected to reach highs of 110°F through the weekend. The forecast indicates mostly dry conditions, with minimal chances of rain across the region, though there is a slight chance of storms in the higher terrain of south-central Arizona by the weekend. However, any storm activity is expected to be minimal and likely won’t provide significant relief from the heat.
Residents are advised to take necessary precautions, including staying hydrated, avoiding outdoor activities during peak heat hours, and ensuring that vulnerable individuals, such as the elderly and children, are protected from the heat. The extreme temperatures are not expected to ease until the following week, making it critical for Arizona residents to remain vigilant.
