Tucson, AZ – Spring rain is expected to sweep into Tucson Thursday night, offering a brief break from otherwise clear skies ahead. Residents along I-10 should prepare for slick roads overnight into Friday morning, with improving conditions by the weekend.
According to the National Weather Service, a 30 percent chance of rain will develop after 5 p.m. Thursday, increasing through the night. Light winds from the southwest at 5 to 8 mph may accompany showers, with temperatures dipping to the low 40s overnight. On Friday, another 40 percent chance of showers is expected, especially after 11 a.m., before clearing skies later in the day.
Travelers should remain cautious during the Friday morning commute, especially on wet roadways like I-10 through Tucson and neighboring areas. Visibility could decrease during showers, and light winds may contribute to minor delays.
Friday’s high will reach 66°F under partly sunny skies. By Friday night, temperatures will fall to the low 40s again, but rain chances will fade, giving way to a clear and warming trend.
Saturday begins a sunny stretch with highs reaching 72°F. Sunday continues the climb to 77°F under clear skies. By Monday and Tuesday, Tucson will experience full spring warmth, with highs of 84°F and 89°F respectively.
Residents are encouraged to plan outdoor activities Saturday and beyond as dry, pleasant spring weather returns. Stay updated via the National Weather Service and local alerts for any changes.
