Tucson, AZ – A Tucson man has inherited a rare collection of over 500 Michael Jordan basketball cards, including some of the most valuable inserts from the 1990s and early 2000s. The collection, discovered inside shoe boxes in his late brother’s home, is expected to fetch six figures at auction.
According to Auction Monthly, the collection includes highly sought-after basketball cards like the 2001 Topps Chrome Black Refractors, 1996 Flair Showcase Row 0 Legacy Collection, and 1997 Skybox E-X2001 Jambalaya. It also features rare Michael Jordan baseball cards from his brief professional baseball career, adding to its uniqueness.
Auction Monthly’s Director of Marketing, Ryan Jones, called the find “once-in-a-generation,” noting the original collector’s dedication to acquiring nearly every Michael Jordan refractor card available. The cards are currently undergoing professional grading before being made available to buyers.
