Flagstaff, Arizona – Parts of northern Arizona will see summer-like heat build through the middle of Memorial Day week, with highs nearing triple digits in areas like Camp Verde and Sedona by Thursday.

According to the National Weather Service in Flagstaff, much of the region will experience a warming trend starting Tuesday, with daytime highs reaching the mid-90s by Wednesday and Thursday in cities including Winslow (91°F), Page (92°F), and Tuba City (90°F). Camp Verde is expected to hit 96°F on Thursday, while cooler locations like Forest Lakes and Flagstaff will see more modest highs in the 70s.

The rise in temperature comes with seasonably mild overnight lows, ranging from the upper 30s in Flagstaff Sunday night to the lower 60s by Friday in Sedona and Page. Winds may accompany some days early in the week but are not expected to pose fire weather concerns at this time.

Residents should limit outdoor activity during peak afternoon heat, stay hydrated, and monitor vulnerable groups. This is the first significant warming pattern of the season and could catch some unprepared.

Temperatures are expected to remain above average through Saturday, with another update likely by midweek if heat advisories are issued.
