Flagstaff, AZ – A shift in weather patterns is bringing warmer, drier conditions to much of Arizona this week. High pressure is building over the region, leading to a decrease in afternoon showers and thunderstorms, particularly over higher terrain areas such as the Mogollon Rim, White Mountains, and Chuska Mountains.

According to the National Weather Service in Flagstaff, Monday will see scattered showers and thunderstorms mainly during the afternoon, but these are expected to be less frequent compared to previous days. As cloud cover diminishes, temperatures across the region will rise, with Flagstaff reaching a high of 83°F. The trend of warmer weather will continue throughout the week, with highs in the mid-80s on Tuesday and Wednesday.

By Thursday, temperatures will cool slightly, with highs around 75°F expected through Saturday. The forecast indicates mostly sunny skies for the end of the week, providing a pleasant break from recent stormy weather. Residents should prepare for a dry, warm stretch, especially in areas of higher elevation where storms have been more common.
