Phoenix, AZ – Arizona’s first day of Fall arrives with no break from the heat, as triple-digit temperatures dominate the forecast. Residents should brace for 103°F on Tuesday, September 23, with little relief in sight through midweek.

According to the National Weather Service, sunny skies will push highs past 100°F daily through Friday. By Thursday night into Friday, a slight chance of thunderstorms could disrupt evening travel and bring much-needed moisture to the Valley. Officials urge residents to stay hydrated, limit outdoor work during peak heat, and monitor changing conditions if storms develop.

Tuesday will reach 103°F with calm winds becoming west near 5 mph. By Wednesday, highs climb to 105°F under full sun, with only light breezes offering relief.

Thunderstorm chances return Thursday evening, continuing into Friday. Rainfall, if it develops, could be heavy in spots, creating slick roadways on I-10 and Loop 202 during commutes. Drivers are advised to plan for delays and use caution during sudden downpours.
