Wichita, KS – The National Weather Service in Wichita reports that much colder weather will spread across central, south-central, and southeast Kansas beginning Sunday, with highs only in the upper 20s to lower 30s for the start of the week.

Sunday:
Partly cloudy skies with highs between 28°F and 34°F. Winds will make it feel even colder as the Arctic air settles into the region.

Monday:
A quick-moving system will bring a chance for light to moderate snow, primarily across central and south-central Kansas, including areas near Hutchinson, Wichita, and Great Bend.
While details are still developing, light accumulations are possible, potentially leading to slick spots on roads Monday morning and afternoon.

Tuesday:
Temperatures begin a gradual rebound, reaching upper 30s to lower 40s with mostly sunny skies expected.

Residents are encouraged to plan for a sharp drop in temperatures and keep an eye on forecast updates for the Monday snow potential.
