Northern Indiana – The National Weather Service in Northern Indiana says Arctic air will spill into the region Thursday night, driving wind chills below zero by early Friday morning.
Overnight wind chills will range from -2°F to -7°F, making for a frigid start to Friday. The day will remain cold and partly cloudy, with highs only in the mid-20s to upper 20s.
The cold pattern continues through the weekend. Highs will reach the low 30s Saturday and Sunday, with occasional light snow showers possible — especially north of U.S. 30. Forecasters give a 20–60% chance for snow, though any accumulation should remain light.
“This Arctic air mass will keep conditions well below normal through Sunday,” meteorologists said. “Bundle up if heading outdoors and be cautious of icy patches on roads and sidewalks.”
Temperatures are expected to moderate slightly early next week, but another round of cold air may follow shortly after.
