Ann Arbor, MI – Drivers in Ann Arbor are facing major delays today after a crash forced the closure of a key stretch of Plymouth Road.

According to the Ann Arbor Police Department, eastbound Plymouth is shut down from Green Road to US 23. In addition, the southbound entrance ramp to the highway is closed as a result of the crash. Police posted the traffic alert on social media Sunday morning.

The closure impacts one of the busiest commuter corridors in Washtenaw County, especially for drivers heading toward the US 23 interchange. Authorities did not immediately provide details on the number of vehicles involved or whether any injuries occurred.

Traffic is being rerouted, and officials are urging motorists to avoid the area and use alternate routes while crews clear the scene. Delays are expected throughout the morning, particularly for drivers traveling between northeast Ann Arbor and the greater metro Detroit area.

Police have not released an estimated time for reopening but said updates will be provided as soon as more information is available.
