Ann Arbor, MI: Man Seriously Injured After Car Hits Tree in Ann Arbor

Ann Arbor, MI – A 36-year-old man from Jackson remains hospitalized following a single-vehicle crash near Gallup Park.

Police responded to Geddes Avenue, east of South Huron Parkway, shortly after 5 p.m. Friday. Officers found a passenger car had veered into oncoming traffic, exited the road, and struck a tree near the Gallup Park Boat Launch.

According to the Ann Arbor Police Department, a witness saw the vehicle suddenly cross lanes before crashing. Emergency responders from Huron Valley Ambulance (HVA) and the Ann Arbor Fire Department (AAFD) assisted at the scene.

Medics transported the driver to the University of Michigan Hospital, where he is in serious condition. He was the sole occupant of the car.

Police are still investigating the cause of the crash. No other vehicles were involved.

Authorities urge drivers to remain vigilant and cautious along Geddes Avenue. Updates will follow as details become available.
