Kankakee County Clerk Dan Hendrickson announced Tuesday morning polling places in Kankakee County will receive bottles of hand sanitizer, courtesy of Anheuser-Busch.
Each polling place throughout the county will receive bottles for November’s election.
Anheuser-Busch brewery is one of several breweries throughout the nation who have converted plants to make hand sanitizer since the COVID-19 outbreak began.
“We will provide voters with safe locations to cast their ballot in their polling place in November on Election Day,” said Hendrickson. “The option for voting by mail will be available, early voting will be available, but for residents who feel committed to voting in person, that opportunity will be provided, and it will be done safely.”
In total, donations will go to 64 voting precincts throughout the county, along with a one-gallon pump bottle. Similar donations are being made to other election authorities throughout the state.
“The Kankakee County Clerk’s Office thanks Anheuser-Busch Brewery for this generous donation to our community,” said Hendrickson.
