Minot, ME – Several people were hospitalized Wednesday morning following a two-vehicle crash in Minot, according to the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office. The collision occurred around 8:13 a.m. on the 800 block of Center Minot Hill Road.
Deputies said a red 1989 Ford F-150, driven by Sherwood Jordan, 73, of Bethel, was traveling toward Auburn when it struck a fallen tree in the roadway. The impact caused the driver to lose control, cross the centerline, and collide with a gray 2025 Toyota RAV4 heading in the opposite direction.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, the Toyota was operated by Howie Wu, 16, of Brooklyn, New York. Jordan, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was partially ejected from the pickup. He and passenger Mitzie Naples, along with three occupants of the RAV4, were transported by United Ambulance Service and Auburn Fire-Rescue to a local hospital. All were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities temporarily closed the roadway while emergency personnel cleared debris and investigated the scene.
The Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office said the investigation remains ongoing. No further details have been released.
